Like medicine,

her love

heals me.

It wraps

around parts of my soul

left bare

and worn.

It rests

quietly in my spirit

reminding me

to live.

It holds

the sharpest edges of me

never forsaking

my wholeness.

She is

the gift.

She frees

all of me.

She sees

me expansively.

I am more me

because she chooses

love

and she chooses

me.
